The Obsidian Weaver.

The air hangs thick with the scent of petrichor and something , like distant lightning. Sunlight, fractured by a perpetual, bruised  sky, dapples the moss-covered floor of a colossal cavern. Water, the color of aged , trickles down walls carved with spiraling glyphs. Towering, skeletal trees, their branches draped with luminous fungi, dominate the landscape. They aren't wood, but polished obsidian, reflecting the   in fractured, hypnotic patterns.

Beneath the skeletal trees, a river of liquid mercury flows, its surface undisturbed by currents. Tiny, bioluminescent fish, shaped like teardrops, dart amongst the mercury's surface. Scattered across the cavern floor are smooth,  stones, each etched with a single, repeating symbol – a stylized eye. A low, constant hum permeates the air, a vibration felt more than heard.

The Obsidian Weaver is a single, perfectly formed shard of polished obsidian, approximately the size of a human hand. Its surface is flawlessly smooth, reflecting the   with an unsettling intensity. A single, perfectly symmetrical slit yawns open on its side, revealing a darkness within. The obsidian is cool to the touch, almost unnaturally so. It lacks any discernible features – no eyes, no mouth, no appendages – just a perfect, reflective surface. The tail, a delicate, tapering curve, extends slightly behind it, ending in a point that appears to be a miniature, spiraling vortex.
